Big Burnouts: 1964 Acadian

Wayne Chafe of Castlegar, B.C. wanted a Performance Plus prize so much he took his 1971 Chevy Camaro onto the backroads (aren't they all kinda backroads in Castlegar?) and sacrificed his tires to provide us with this incredible smoke show. Thanks Wanyne and your hat is in the mail!

Wyley Vlahovic’ pride and joy is his 1956 Chevy Bel Air 2 door hardtop named MY GRRL. She sports a LS6 454 engine, Richmond Street 5 Speed transmission and a Ford-9 inch rear end. This old girl can really spin her back end when Wyley put his foot into her!

This Big Burnout comes courtesy of Dave Woycheshen of Coqutilam, B.C. He is in his 1940 Studebaker Commander laying out a big burnout at his friend Tim’s house. The picture was taken the day he got the car for his birthday from his wife. His friend, Tim, sold her the car and dared him to try to get it to burnout. Demonstrations like this one sent in by Jarrod Nicholson of Edmonton, AB smoking the tires off his 1984 Chevy Pick-up must certainly put a huge smile on the faces of all the tire dealers in the area as there wouldn’t be too much rubber left at the conclusion.

These are some pictures of Thomas Poljer smoking some tires in his 1999 Dodge Durango. It has a 5.9 L engine which of course contributed to him blowing the rear tire!
