As the name implies, when you first walk into Jellybean Hotrods in Surrey, B.C., it’s like walking into a candy store for the car enthusiast. Of course, the shop is well-equipped with all the tools of the trade, but it’s the wide array of vehicles on display that gets one’s heart beating that much quicker.

We did a complete sound deadening installation in our shop demo vehicle. Using all of the various products from Dynamat and a few other products, this 1983 Buick Regal is quieter inside then any Lexus or Mercedes-Benz.

Like so many car guys before, the gear head gene was passed down from his father. Time spent in his youth wrenching on cars with his dad created the passion that pointed Jason in the direction of owning his own restoration shop. Today Concept Muscle Car is a 13,000 square-foot operation that features a fully equipped restoration facility and a unique showroom floor.

What a difference a year makes. You may recall that when we last visited the home of the Fraser Valley’s favourite custom shop last year, they had been in business just over a year and had already doubled in size to over 7,000 square feet of shop space and six employees.

In 1973, Pontiac Firebird Chief Designer John Schinella proposed a bold new hood graphic for the Trans Am. Knowing that his boss, GM design guru Bill Mitchell, liked the famous Black and Gold livery of the John Player Lotus Formula One cars, Schinella had a ‘73 Trans Am SD455 painted in dramatic Black Metalflake, decorated with gold pinstriping and a gold-leaf version of his Firebird hood motif, and presented it to Mitchell for his approval.

One Rare Panther

The first thing that comes to minds for the average person when visualizing a pink car is no doubt the sight of the Mary Kay lady pulling up in a shiny pink Cadillac. Not so for the average Mopar enthusiast. No, for these loyalists the image of a rare Panther Pink Challenger, Roadrunner, Charger or Cuda is no doubt what comes to mind. The example presented at here is not only rare by its paint colour, but the combination of options on the spec sheet.
