Powerama Swap Meet 300x224 Event Preview: March / April 2010Powerama Motoring Expo...A New Era
After 25 years of producing Western Canada’s largest collector car and motorsport show, Liz Oglu has given the keys to the Electric Car Garage, Western Canada’s largest collector car auction company. Although the registration has officially changed hands, Oglu will still be sitting in the driver’s seat for 2010 with her responsibility as Show Manager. As in previous years, the show will fill the halls of Northlands Park (now known as Edmonton Expo Centre), where construction has finally been completed. The show will be filled with hundreds of show cars, trucks, motorcycles, entertainment and vendor booths. Appearing at this year’s show for the first time is Pete Chapouris of SoCal, builder of the famous hot rod “The California Kid.” He will be at the show the entire weekend signing autographs and talking to attendees. Of course, it wouldn’t be Powerama without Alberta’s Biggest Swap Meet that returns to the main floor for 2010. The show runs Friday to Sunday, April 23 to 25 and tickets are available at the door or through Ticketmaster. For more information please go to www.powerama.ca
