I wanted to build a functional truck that wouldn’t break the bank. You’ve got to start somewhere and that somewhere was a pristine 1987 Ford Bronco II that my neighbour donated because they were moving to B.C. and it was not running at the time. It was only 2WD, so I had some work to do.

Well, to say that this summer has been busy would be an understatement. Between re-landscaping the backyard, family obligations, bathroom revamps, bad weather and weddings to attend, I have not had much time to work on the monster.

I have rebuilt the front Dana 44 differential with 5.38:1 gears, a TrueTrac, Yukon chromalloy axles, and Warn drive flanges. The rear Dana 60 received the same treatment, except a 35-spline spool replaced the 30-spline stuff.
