When your vehicle is stock, there is a good chance you will run into a similar vehicle with the same factory options and colour.

If you are tired of going out into a shopping centre parking lot and confusing your truck with another, consider customizing your vehicle to make it unique, and reflect your own style and personality. The following are some examples of recently introduced products that may inspire you to accessorize your ride.

Revtek Industries is known for its Toyota lifts and the 2005-2009 Tacoma 3-inch suspension lift is a good example. Utilizing the original equipment front struts this spacer kit retains the factory ride and handling with the ability to run 33/12.5 or 285/75r16 tires. Cost is around $495.

King Kit 300x150 The Truck Guy: Consider Customizing Your Trucktruckguy jan feb2010 Trucks The Truck Guy Daystar is best known for its complete line of urethane bushings and levelling kits. There is now a 1-inch body mount kit for the 2007-2008 Jeep JK. The factory body mounts on the JK are specially designed to reduce noise, vibration, and harmonics, so this kit works with the factory mounts instead of replacing them - price to be announced.

Warn Industries offers a wireless control system that lets you operate your truck’s winch remotely from up to 30 metres away. The system is easy to install and comes with all necessary mounting hardware. The receiver is built for extreme conditions and is resistant to water and the elements. The transmitter has two large buttons that make it easy to operate, even while wearing gloves - costs $176. Another great new product from Warn is the Power Plant, which combines an air compressor and a winch all in one unit, priced at $1,908. The winch features a three-stage planetary gear train, series wound motor with 38 metres of 8 mm thick wire rope and a hand held remote control with thermometric indicator. The 100 psi compressor delivers enough air to operate a variety of air tools. The kit comes with air hose, basic air fittings, and couplings.

If you do not want the look of a large lift but still want a larger tire/wheel combination for your 2009 Chevy Tahoe, then King Off-road Racing’s new stock replacement coil over kit may interest you. This kit can be used on both 2WD and 4WD models, and gives the frontend 7 centimetres of lift. Cost is to be announced.

Towing a fifth wheel trailer with your diesel truck across the country sometimes requires planning to make sure you have sufficient access to diesel fuel. Titan Fuel Tanks have the solution with a replacement 189 litre tank. They are a direct bolt in and are custom built for specific vehicles. Price is around $1,217.[PSGallery=1ajp0t393p]
