JL Wrangler Forums Confirm Diesel Engine for Jeep JL Wrangler
JL Wrangler Forum has recently claimed to confirm a few more details regarding the new Jeep Wrangler JL set to debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. Firstly, the report claims that a turbodiesel engine option for the new Wrangler has been officially confirmed, and while obviously not much regarding specifications have been confirmed, it is expected to be a version of the V6 EcoDiesel engine found in the Ram 1500 and Jeep Grand Cherokee. Other engine options for the JL will reportedly be an updated 3.6L Pentastar V6 or an optional 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 which will be paired to a standard automatic transmission. FCA or Jeep themselves have released no information regarding the new JL or its engine options, but JL Wrangler Forum has seemed to be all over inside scoops regarding the JL throughout the year.
