Jeep Introduces All-New 2017 Wrangler Rubicon Recon

Jeep has added yet another model to its already extremely capable Wrangler lineup, called the Wrangler Rubicon Recon. The new model delivers even more off-road capability then before which is a result of a stronger front axle, enhanced rock rails and heavy-duty cast differential covers. The Rubicon Recon Edition is based on the Wrangler Rubicon model, and thanks to the enhanced off-road rock rails that are shortened, it can accommodate up to 35-inch tires and is equipped with Wrangler’s part-time four-wheel drive system that has electronic locking front and rear Dana 44 axles with power being sent to each wheel through a Rock-Trac transfer case. It will be offered with a six-speed manual transmission or a five-speed automatic transmission and will come in seven colour options. In addition to its off-road capability, the exterior and interior of the Recon receive upgrades as well, such as a low-gloss black grille with a winch-capable design and removable end caps on the outside, and red accent-coloured seat belts and a dashboard plaque with information regarding the front and rear axles, front sway bar and transfer case on the inside.
