Omix-ADA/Rugged Ridge and Austin Hatcher Foundation Partner to Raise Cancer Awareness
Omix-ADA have announced that they have partnered with the Austin Hatch Foundation for Pediatric Cancer to build a one-off Jeep to help raise awareness and increase support for their cause. The inspiration of the build comes from one of the rarest Jeeps ever produced, the 1971 Jeep Hurst Edition Commando. Originally based off of a basic two-door wagon, the Jeep Commando was treated to a plethora of styling upgrades by Hurst Performance including a hood-mounted tachometer, air scoop, dual-gate shifter and Champagne White paint with red and blue striping. The base for the build will be a brand new 2017 Jeep Wrangler JK that was donated by Mountain View Chrysler of Ringgold, GA. Omix-ADA will both design and build the vehicle backed by their extensive parts catalog thanks to brands such as Rugged Ridge, and the build itself will take place at Truck ‘N Trailers USA in Chattanooga, TN. Once completed, the 2017 Jeep Wrangler Hurst Commando Edition will make appearances across the U.S. at various motorsports and automotive events with the ultimate goal being not only to raise awareness for the charity by also to auction the Jeep off with the proceeds going to the Austin Hatch Foundation. The Austin Hatcher Foundtion for Pediatric Cancer’s mission I erase the effects of pediatric cancer while enriching the affected children’s quality of life starting with the initial diagnosis and all the way through the treatment process.
