First Drive: 2022 Nissan Frontier

The Nissan Frontier is getting a full-scale redesign for 2022 – and safe to say, it’s been a long time coming. We haven’t seen an all-new Frontier since the second-gen truck debuted in 2005 and we haven’t seen a new model-year since way back in 2019. That means it will have been three full model years since a new Frontier arrived on lots, as it should be doing by the time you read this.

Road Test: 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC

The Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 has seemingly made style and refinement it’s top priority and have done a great job of exhibiting both. On the outside, the GLC 300 is a very sharp looking compact crossover with stunning body lines, an aggressive front fascia and an overall sporty look that really sets it apart from its main competitors.

Road Test: 2021 GMC Yukon Denali

GMC’s upscale Denali trim has become synonymous with bringing a touch of luxury to the truck and SUV segment. The rebuilt-from-the-ground-up fifth-gen Yukon is one of the most recent examples to receive all the latest bells and whistles that come along with the designation. Also built upon the same T1 platform as the modern Chevrolet Tahoe and the flagship Cadillac Escalade, a high level of refinement is almost a given.

New Competition: GMC Sierra 1500 Diesel vs Ram 1500 EcoDiesel

The popularity of pickup trucks in North America is seemingly at an all-time high, which is significant given that the entire automotive industry has seemingly shifted its focus to efficiency and economy. Sure, trucks are more efficient and practical then they have ever been before, but they are still very large and often feature large V8 engines under the hood, neither of which necessarily produce an economically friendly and fuel efficient vehicle.

Walks the Walk: 2020 Toyota Tacoma Limited

I‘m honestly a little scared as I sit down to write this review, just as I was a little scared as I took the seat of the 2020 Toyota Tacoma Limited and proceeded to shoot a video review.

A True Workhorse: 2020 Toyota 4Runner Venture

While the 4Runner’s Tacoma sibling is well into the next generation of Toyota trucks – it gets a new Atkinson Cycle 3.5L V6, six-speed automatic and more lightweight materials used for the body and chassis — the 4Runner soldiers on with the same basic underpinnings it’s had since the current (fifth) generation debuted for the 2010 model year. That means a 4.0L V6 good for 270 hp and 278 lb-ft of torque fed to the wheels via a five-speed auto.

Mercedes-Benz AMG GLC 43 (2020)

Mercedes has bumped up the power in this year’s model to a respectable 385 hp and 384 lb-ft torque that serve’s it very well. They have also brought in an updated design language when it comes to both bumpers, as well as headlight and taillights, which look sleeker all round. Speaking of round, the dual exhaust tips dress up the rear end nicely, as does the new ‘panamericana’ grill up front. Overall the new exterior design is really quite stylish. The MBUX infotainment system also finds its way into this year’s updates with all of the accompanying toys that it offers.
