AJAC EcoRun Successfully Completed
For the first time since 2019, the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada held its annual EcoRun, a driving event featuring a variety of eco-friendly vehicles on a three-day tour, this year in South-Central Ontario, and sponsored by the Canadian Fuels Association, Electric Mobility Canada, and FLO EV Charging.
Road Test: 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC
The Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 has seemingly made style and refinement it’s top priority and have done a great job of exhibiting both. On the outside, the GLC 300 is a very sharp looking compact crossover with stunning body lines, an aggressive front fascia and an overall sporty look that really sets it apart from its main competitors.
Road Test: 2021 Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 4MATIC+
The GLA-Class has been completely redesigned for 2021. It still resembles the outgoing model but features a more premium look, both inside and out and is taller, wider and a slight bit shorter than before.
Road Test: 2021 Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC+ Coupe
Anytime a vehicle is at or above the 600 horsepower mark you can be sure enthusiasts of all types will take notice and such is the case with Mercedes new 2021 Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe that makes a very impressive 603 horsepower from its 4.0L twin turbocharged V8 engine. This makes it one of the most powerful SUVs available right now and to top things off it offers the refinement and true luxurious feel that only a Mercedes vehicle can.
Road Test: 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA 250
Mercedes has introduced a new generation of GLA with this new 2021 model. For starters, the entire exterior has been redesigned. It’s taller, wider, and sits on a slightly larger wheel base this year. Correspondingly, the interior has also added some much improved spacing. HP power gains 13 horses as well. There are also now options on options way too numerous to mention here, but worth a checking out what you might want to, well, put a check mark next to the most wished for.
Road Test: 2020 Nissan Sentra SR
The Nissan Sentra has now entered its eighth generation and although it continues to be Nissan’s best-selling nameplate in Canada, it was in great need of an overhaul. The previous version was still a very good value and got the job done, but there was little to wow you away from some of its very impressive competition. This has all changed now as the Sentra now boasts a much sportier, more upscale look with a completely updated interior that is well laid out, functional and nice to look at.
Road Test: 2020 Jaguar F-Pace SVR
The Jaguar F-Pace SVR remains unchanged after being introduced for 2019 except for Apple Car Play and Android Auto now coming as standard.
Road Test: 2020 Toyota Corolla XSE
The Toyota Corolla is all-new for 2020 and has been completely redesigned both inside and out. It now looks and feels larger and has received updated styling that propels it to the top of its class.
Road Test: 2020 Ford Escape Titanium
The Ford Escape is brand new for 2020 and is now slightly longer, wider and lower than its predecessor as it enters its fourth generation. As before, the Escape is available in a wide variety of trims starting with the S and all the way up to the top-of-the-line Titanium model we had as a tester. A Hybrid version now rejoins the fold after a brief hiatus and Ford says a plug-in hybrid model is set to debut in the Spring.
Road Test: 2020 Mazda CX-30 GT
The Mazda CX-30 subcompact CUV is all-new for 2020 and slots in between the popular Mazda3 and CX-3 in Mazda’s lineup which has grown significantly in the recent years. In what is essentially a slightly higher Mazda3, the CX-30 does provide a more rugged feel and although appears bigger it boasts roughly the same rear cargo and rear seat space as a 3 hatchback.
