Ford Adds Cruise Control-like Trail Control to the 2019 F-150 Raptor

The refreshed 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor has added a new feature called Trail Control which is basically like cruise control for off-road driving. The feature will manage throttle and braking which allows drivers to focus on steering through challenging off-road terrain. Activated at speeds from 2 km/h to 32 km/h, Trail Control is able to help overcome steep obstacles by automatically directing torque to each wheel then braking to smoothly bring down the truck on the other side. Additionally, it can also help in digging the truck out if happens to get stuck in extreme sand. The function can be operated in all 4×4 modes and will be included on the 2019 Raptor when it becomes available later this year and will also be available on the all-new 2019 Ford Ranger which is set to arrive at dealerships early next year.
