Land Rover Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque Receive Performance Boost for 2018
Land Rover has announced two new Ingenium gasoline engines as well as a number of other enhancements for the 2018 Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque. Both vehicle’s will receive the all-new Jaguar Land Rover 2.0-litre four cylinder Ingenium gas engine that comes in either a 237 horsepower or 286 horsepower version. In addition to the new engines, both models will receive a number of significant upgrades. The Range Rover Evoque will add a new dynamic bumper for the higher output 2.0L engine and auto-dimming exterior mirrors are introduced on HSE trim levels and up. Additionally, Wii-Fi connectivity has been upgraded to 4G, new colour options are available bringing the total number up to 13, and a special “Landmark Edition” will be made available which slots between the SE Premium and HSE trims and features the lower output engine. Additional upgrades for the 2018 Land Rover Discovery Sport include two new trims, new 12-way powered seats, auto dimming exterior mirrors and adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring as standalone options. As previously mentioned, Land Rover will be offering two new Ingenium four-cylinder gasoline engines which replace the previous single outpout GTDi gas engine. The 237hp version produces 251 lb-ft. of torque and is the standard offering for both models. The higher output 286hp motor produces 295 lb-ft. of torque while both are paired to a ZF 9-speed automatic transmission.
