RAM Introduces All-New 2019 Ram 1500 Tradesman Model
Ram has released yet another model of their all new 2019 Ram 1500 pickup, this time called the Tradesman model which is aimed at one of the largest traditional pickup customer categories; vocational use. Specifically designed for small businesses, construction jobsites and commercial fleets, the new Ram 1500 Tradesman is available in two cab styles and two bed lengths including Quad Cab with 6-ft., 4-in. bed and Crew Cab with either the short bed (5 ft., 7-in.) or the optional 6 ft., 4-in. bed. Powertrain options for the Tradesman are the standard 3.6L Pentastar V6 with eTorque mild hybrid system or the optional 5.7L HEMI V8 and the truck is offered in 4×2 or 4×4. Utilizing high-strength steel and clever engineering, the all-new Ram 1500 has seen a weight reduction of 102 kg (225 lbs.) but have not sacrificed any capability with the weight loss. When properly equipped, the Tradesman model is able to tow up to 5,783 kg (12,750 lbs) and offers up to 1,043 kg (2,300 lbs.) of payload in the four-door quad cab configuration. Additional standard features specific to the Tradesman include a Class III trailer hitch and lighted, above-bumper four- and seven-pin trailer wire connectors. Standard features on the inside include Uconnect 5.0 with a 5-in. screen, a 12-volt auxiliary power outlet, three USB ports, one auxiliary port and automatic headlights. Additionally, a long list of options are available for the Tradesman including 3.21 or 3.92 rear axle ratios, anti-spin rear differential, rear electric locking differential and a Off-road package with a factory suspension lift. Pricing for the Ram 1500 Trademan starts at $42,095.
