BMW Introduces All-New 2018 M3 CS

BMW have released another exclusive, limited-run special edition model with the introduction of the 2018 BMW M3 CS. The M3 CS will continue the long standing tradition of successful M special editions which started back in 1988 with the E30 BMW M3 Evolution. Starting with the engine, M3 CS features the same 3.0L M TwinPower Turbo V6 engine but pushes 10 horsepower past the regular M3 with the Competition Package bringing its total up to 460 hp. This allows the M3 CS to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 280 km/h. In addition to its performance, the engine is equally committed to developing significant torque from low engine speeds and achieving high levels of fuel efficiency. The engine is paired to the standard seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission with Drivelogic that utilizes a separate oil cooler that enables lightning quick gear changes. The sport tuned quad-tailpipe exhaust system produces a distinctive, aggressive sound upon start up and provides an even better note at speed. The suspension in the M3 CS is largely the same found in the M3 with competition package and features extremely light forged aluminum components including links, wheel carriers and both the front and rear axles. In addition to that, the M3 CS is fitted with the Adaptive M suspension that performs well during any situation and also the DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) system and the Active M Differential. The inside of the new M3 CS uses two-tone full leather in Silverstone/Black and Alcantara to create a upscale and classy atmosphere. The long list of standard features include automatic climate control, a Harman Kardon surround sound system and the Navigation System Professional. Exterior features include a Gurney spoiler lip on the trunk lid with a new design that was specifically made for the M3 CS. Additionally the car features a carbon fibre front splitter and rear diffuser to help minimize lift. Orders for the M3 CS can be placed in January of 2018 but act quick as the special-edition model will be limited to a run of around 1,200 units.
