Chevrolet Adds Special Edition Model for Tahoe and Suburban
Chevrolet have recently introduced a new special edition model for the Tahoe and Suburban large SUVs called the street-performance Rally Sport Truck, or RST. The Tahoe RST will also be available with a new Performance Package that includes a 420 horsepower, 6.2L V8 engine with Magnetic Ride Control with performance calibration and an all-new 10-speed automatic transmission. The RST package will be available on Tahoe and Suburban models starting in the fall of 2017 and are inspired by aftermarket trends with virtually all chrome trim being eliminated. Exterior changes for the new model include body-coloured grille surround and door handles, gloss-black grille and mirror caps, and black roof rails, window trim, badges and Chevy bowties. The RST package also includes exclusive 22-inch wheels wrapped in Bridgestone rubber.
As mentioned before, the Tahoe RST will offer the optional Performance Package that greatly boosts performance with the 6.2L V8 engine paired to the new 10-speed auto transmission and also improves towing capacity, bumping it up to 3,800 kg (8,400 lbs). The Magnetic Ride Control included in the package provides an active suspension that reads the road every millisecond, triggering damping changes in the electronically controlled shock absorbers. The result is improved body-motion control during cornering and an even more comfortable ride while cruising.
