Largest Toyota Dealership in Canada Breaks Ground

Construction is beginning this month on what will become Toyota’s largest dealership in Canada; OpenRoad Toyota in Richmond, B.C. The new dealership, which will be built directly across the street from its present location in the Richmond Auto Mall, will feature a brand new, state of the art showroom and service facility. “Our new dealership will be five times the size of our current location, and incorporate many environmental systems as well as more space to showcase and service the full range of Toyota models, including the world’s most popular and proven lineup of efficient hybrid vehicles” said Christian Chia, Dealer Principal at OpenRoad Toyota. OpenRoad Toyota – Richmond has history all the way back till 1978 with a modest showroom on Granville Avenue before moving into the present location in 1985. At 205,000 square feet, the new facility will feature several amenities for Toyota customers including two lounge areas, a children’s play area, a full-service café with TVs, a fireplace and Wi-Fi connectivity. The showroom at the facility with encompass more than 15,000 square feet with space to display up to 36 vehicles on two levels, plus 10 indoor new vehicle delivery bays. The striking architectural design of the new facility will incorporate many leading edge environmental features including a Green Roof and Water Collection System on the car wash, high efficiency heating and cooling systems, LED lighting and much more.
