RAM Reveals the Canadian-Exclusive 2019 Ram 1500 Sport

Ram Truck have undoubtedly kept themselves in the news ever since the all-new 2019 Ram 1500 was announced at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, and have continued that by announcing the unique-to-Canada 2019 Ram 1500 Sport model. Debuted in Toronto at the Canadian International Autoshow, the Ram 1500 Sport is being released to Canada due largely to the fact that the Sport trim has been our most popular Ram light-duty model.  The truck utilizes unique exterior design cues, interior treatments and custom options to distinguish itself from other models in the Ram lineup. Starting with the exterior, the 1500 Sport features a monochromatic exterior that is available in nine different colours and is offset by a black billet bar grille with the large ‘RAM’ lettering grille. Standard bi-LED headlamps feature black internal bezels and are surrounded by LED daytime running lights, and an available Sport hood is available for a more aggressive look. The truck sits on a set of standard 20-in. black aluminum wheels with optional 22-in. wheels available and features a dampened aluminum tailgate with an integrated spoiler with black badging. Under the hood is the always appreciated 5.7L HEMI V8 engine that pushes out 395 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft. of torque with variable valve timing and cylinder deactivation. The HEMI is paired to a TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission and is offered as either a 4×2 or 4×4 with an on demand transfer case. Offered in either a Quad or Crew Cab configuration, the Ram 1500 Sport boasts an all-black cabin with black headliner and a number of exclusive trim touches. Exclusive power heated sport cloth/premium vinyl seats with a special hex insert mesh fabric with optional leather heated and ventilated seats available. Much like the other models of the 2019 Ram 1500, the Sport model will feature the 8.4-in. Uconnect touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. In addition, a standard 7-in. reconfigurable in-cluster display is featured that features a unique start up screen and provides useful information to the driver. Pricing and fuel economy numbers will be announced at a later date with the truck itself expected to hit dealership showrooms sometime in the second quarter of this year.
