Readers Rides: 1964 Ford Galaxie 500XL 2dr Hardtop 352 Auto
Dave Peters’ found his ’64 Ford Galaxie 500XL a few years ago in a field near Edgwood, B.C. and decided he would bring it back to life. The car was in need of some body work and Dave decided he wanted something different than the other Galaxies out there so he had all the chrome trim removed, found billet door handles that would sit flush and installed a trunk latch that didn’t need a key to open. All of the mechanics have been rebuilt and Dave regularly enjoys driving the car and has taken a number of good road trips in it.
