First Drive: 2022 Nissan Frontier
The Nissan Frontier is getting a full-scale redesign for 2022 – and safe to say, it’s been a long time coming. We haven’t seen an all-new Frontier since the second-gen truck debuted in 2005 and we haven’t seen a new model-year since way back in 2019. That means it will have been three full model years since a new Frontier arrived on lots, as it should be doing by the time you read this.

Road Test: 2020 Nissan Sentra SR
The Nissan Sentra has now entered its eighth generation and although it continues to be Nissan’s best-selling nameplate in Canada, it was in great need of an overhaul. The previous version was still a very good value and got the job done, but there was little to wow you away from some of its very impressive competition. This has all changed now as the Sentra now boasts a much sportier, more upscale look with a completely updated interior that is well laid out, functional and nice to look at.
Road Test: 2020 Buick Encore
Not much changes for the Buick Encore in 2020. The more powerful version of the 1.4L turbocharged engine has been discontinued and besides that just some minor tweaks to options available on certain trims.
Road Test: 2019 Toyota RAV4 Trail AWD
The Toyota RAV4 is completely brand new for 2019 and is the first RAV4 to benefit from Toyota’s New Global Architecture platform. The new model features an all-new design both inside and out and a new powertrain that delivers more power and better fuel economy. Many of the same models return from the previous generation including the slightly off-road oriented Trail model which is featured here.
Road Test: 2019 Cadillac XT4
Cadillac is one of the last luxury automotive manufacturers to venture into the compact-luxury-crossover segment and will look to make a big splash in hopes of luring potential buyers away from their more established competition. On the exterior appearance side of things, Cadillac have done quite well and produced a nice, contemporary looking crossover that bears Cadillac’s current design theme with bold lines and an all-around nice look. Having always been a fan of Cadillac’s interior designs, the XT4 has got that right as well with simple interior that looks to be made of upscale materials and a sense of functionality that can sometimes be lost with all of the technology and features available today.
Road Test: 2019 Honda Civic Coupe Sport
Not much changes for the Civic in 2019 other than a restyled front bumper and the addition of an optional infotainment interface with a volume knob and actual buttons, something I am a big fan of.
Road Test: 2019 Jeep Cherokee Overland
Given how competitive of a segment it finds itself in, it was imperative that Jeep got the refresh of the Cherokee right and after just one quick look, it’s clear they have. As mentioned before, gone is the ‘interesting-looking’ front-end design of the previous model and in comes a much better, more purposeful design that is sure to attract some customers.
Road Test: 2019 Mazda CX-5 Signature
The CX-5 introduces a new Signature trim level for 2019 which features a new 7.0-in. TFT digital gauge display, new 19-in. alloy wheels and a plethora of other new features both inside and out. A new SKYACTIV-G 2.5L turbocharged engine is available (standard with Signature trim) and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto infotainment technologies is now standard on all trim levels.
Road Test: 2019 Mazda CX- 3 GT
All trims now boast additional advanced safety features. Some tasteful exterior styling cue updates with a couple of extra ponies added for good measure. The interior now has a useful center armrest bin and an electronic parking brake.
