Toyota 86 Adds New GT Model for 2018

The Toyota 86 is popular among many automotive enthusiasts due to the fact that it is a true, simple sports car that features a peppy flat-four boxer engine, rear wheel drive, and aggressive styling. New for 2018 is the addition of the 86 GT model that offers some styling, technology and comfort upgrades. The GT takes the base 86 model and adds an anti-theft alarm system, a rear spoiler, Smart Key System with Push Button Start, fog lamps, dual zone climate control, heated front leather seats, and a 4.2-in. display that shows vehicle performance data. Aside from the addition of the new model, the 86 remains relatively unchanged for 2018 and still features the aforementioned 2.0L four-cylinder boxer engine that pumps out 205 horsepower and 156 lb-ft of torque with the 6-speed manual transmission and 200 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of torque with the 6-speed automatic option. A sport tuned suspension with stabilizer bars is also featured as is electric power steering and ventilated front and rear disc brakes, all of which work together to make the 86 one of the most fun cars to drive on the road today. Inside features deep bolstered sport seats in the front to keep both the driver and shotgun passenger in place , while a passenger side rear walk in assist provides easier access to the 2 rear seats which fold flat if more trunk space is needed. The 2018 Toyota 86 and 86 GT are available now at dealerships across the country.
