New for 2019: All trims now boast additional advanced safety features. Some tasteful exterior styling cue updates with a couple of extra ponies added for good measure. The interior now has a useful center armrest bin and an electronic parking brake.

Segment Competitors: Fiat 500X, Toyota C-HR, Ford EcoSport, Honda HR-V

The Skinny: Actually really like the exterior styling cues and combined with our tester’s Ceramic Metallic paint, it takes on a very current and hip look. The interiors space is quiet and smartly appointed, although it possesses quite limited rear seat and cargo space. Fun handling combines with a sure footed, smooth shifting and responsive driving experience.

Pros: Nicely appointed interior with new center console bin and electronic braking system. Great looking exterior makes for it being a bit of an eye turner in this segment. Fun and responsive driving experience combined with good fuel economy makes this a pleasure to drive with hurting the pocket book!

Cons: Rear seat room for all but small children is too small. Cargo space is wanting. Sound system was only adequate.

The Verdict: Really enjoy the look of this vehicle and like how the driving experience unfolds through the gears. It’s not made for hauling the gang out anywhere, but if it’s main purpose in life is to take you and your bestie on daily excursions in and around the city or out to the community garden, this is one stylin’ and fun to drive mini-ute!
