FIAT has Introduced an All-Turbo 500 Lineup for 2018

The Fiat 500 lineup has been introduced for 2018 with each model sporting the 1.4L MultiAir Turbo engine as standard equipment and a sportier appearance for all models. The Fiat 500 will be available in three models; Pop, Lounge and the more performance-oriented Abarth. The Pop and Lounge models now come standard with the aforementioned 1.4L turbocharged engine which features a single turbocharger, twin intercoolers and a sport tuned exhaust which all work together to produce 135 horsepower and 150 lb.-ft. of torque. A five-speed manual transmission comes as standard, however a six-speed automatic transmission is available. The Pop and Lounge models are also updated with other features such as 16-in. aluminum wheels, a performance braking system, sport suspension and a rear backup camera. Body updates for the two models include body colour front and rear fascias, side-sill ground effects and a sport spoiler. “Turbo” badging is now featured on the liftgate and inside features a 7-in. in-cluster display with an Alpine Premium audio system all standard. The Fiat 500 Abarth model already had been utilizing the 1.4L MultiAir Turbo which sees power bumped up to a spritely 160 horsepower and 183 lb.-ft. of torque. Other performance upgrades for the Abarth include a performance suspension, three-mode electronic stability control, 16-in. Hyper Black wheels, Pirelli tires and red brake calipers. Inside of the Abarth features performance front seats with a racing harness pass through, a turbo boost gauge mounted to the left of the instrument cluster and an up-shift light integrated in the cluster alerts. In addition, the 500 lineup offers three new colours including Brillante Red, Mezzanotte Blue Pearl and Vesuvio Black Pearl. The 2018 Fiat 500 models are all available to order this month with actual cars arriving at the dealerships in the second quarter of this year.
