BMW Unveils All-New 2019 Z4 Roadster
BMW have unveiled the all-new 2019 Z4 Roadster at the world renowned Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance which is where the Concept Z4 was unveiled last year. The charismatic sports car features proportions that leave little doubt in terms of its performance potential with a central sitting position for the driver, low centre of gravity and 50:50 weight distribution. The Z4 also features the BMW kidney grille, long hood that stretches over the front wheels and an interior that is fully driver oriented. To start, BMW will be offering the Z4 30i model beginning in the Spring of 2019 with the Z4 M40i model arriving in the 2nd quarter of 2019. BMW’s release revealed little to no information regarding the 30i model but did share some details of the sportier M40i model. A special First Edition model will be offered upon launch that features a Frozen Orange Metallic exterior colour along with an electrically operated textile soft top in anthracite with silver effect, plus black mirror caps and 19-in. light alloy wheels. Inside of the First Edition will feature Vernasca black leather trim, a Harman Kardon Surround Sound System and electrically adjustable seats with a memory function. Other details include Adaptive LED headlights, Head-Up Display and BMW Live Cockpit Professional. Under the hood of the M40i will be the iconic 3.0L inline-six-cylinder engine that will propel the Z4 from 0-100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds. A BMW M tuned sports suspension with electronically controlled dampers, M Sport brakes, and an electronic M Sport rear differential will further add to the performance.
