Road Test: 2018 Ram 1500 SLT Quad Cab
The Ram 1500 is relatively unchanged for 2018 as it prepares to make way for the all-new 2019 version. A couple of new trim levels were added, the 3.0L EcoDiesel engine option saw expanded capability and the infotainment system offers new functionality.
Feature: Food Truck Movement Gaining Momentum
There is no one defining element of Canadian cuisine. To outsiders, maple syrup and poutine often come to mind; maybe tourtière or beaver tails to the few who get out a little more. But to those who are actually familiar with Canada’s food scene, they know it to be an incredibly rich and varied place.
Feature: B.C. Vintage Truck Museum
There are car museums seemingly everywhere in North America, but far fewer exhibits dedicated just to trucks. Fewer still are the museums featuring only large commercial trucks, and such a facility is located in the Vancouver suburb of Surrey.
First Drive: 2019 Ram 1500
The 2019 Ram 1500 marks just the second generation of this half-ton brand that has been a stand-alone company, under the FCA umbrella, since 2009. Despite often still being referred to as the Dodge Ram, it’s been on its own for a decade now; a very successful decade in fact, with sales up by 191 percent since inception; hitting almost 700,000 sales worldwide in 2017.
First Look: 2019 GMC Sierra
Following on the heels of the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado debut in January, the newest version of the GMC Sierra was shown in downtown Detroit just recently in a converted industrial building, as gritty as the city itself. While the new Silverado was hoisted by helicopter and dropped before a crowd in Dallas as the finale to its 100th anniversary celebrations, the Sierra introduction was much more low key – seemingly as different as the two brands themselves.

In Case you Missed It: Custom trucks Show-off at L.A. Auto Show
Few people would say that Los Angeles is not the epicentre of vehicle customization, and every year during the L.A. International Auto Show, SoCal’s newest and hottest customs strut their stuff in the basement of the Convention Centre, underneath all the new cars on the main floor above. Trucks were especially prevalent at the latest L.A. show a few months ago, and we thought it wasn’t too late to post a few photos we took there of the custom trucks and off-roaders that caught our eye.
