Chevrolet and Nissan Pickups Rank High in 2017 J.D. Power Quality Study

Nissan FrontierThe Chevrolet Silverado and Nissan Frontier were the winners of the recent 2017 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study which measures owner satisfaction with the quality of new vehicles within the first 90 days of ownership. J.D. Power places the pickups into three segments including mid-size, large light-duty (half-ton) and large heavy-duty (3/4- and 1-ton). The often forgotten-about  Nissan Frontier took home the top prize in the mid-size category, with the Chevrolet Colorado placing second and the Honda Ridgeline rounding out the top three. In the Large Light-Duty segment, the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 was named the winner followed by the Ram 1500 and Toyota Tundra respectively. Chevrolet continued its impressive showing in the Large Heavy-Duty segment with the Silverado 2500/3500 being named winner followed closely by the Ford Super Duty, with the Ram 2500/3500 rounding out the podium.
