Dodge Introduces the Astonishing 2018 Challenger SRT Demon

Back in 2014, Dodge shocked the high-performance car world with the introduction of the 707-horsepower Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat which were the most powerful muscle cars ever made – until now. Launching the recent New York International Auto Show week, Dodge has once again shaken the high-performance car industry with the unveiling of the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. The new Demon will be powered by an incredible 840-horsepower, supercharged 6.2L Hemi Demon V8 engine which is the world’s most powerful factory production V8. The car is NHRA-certified to run 9.65 seconds @ 140 mph, which makes the Demon the fastest ¼-mile factory-stock car in the world. Additionally, the Demon is the world’s first production car to lift the front wheels at launch and has set the world record for the  highest wheelie by a production car from a standing start, at 2.92 feet. The Demon remains a potent street car, but every component on the car was scrutinized and optimized for weight, capability and durability on the strip with a long list of street-legal production car industry firsts including front passenger and rear seat delete, Nitto street-legal drag radial tires, available Direct Connection engine controller, and Drag Mode Launch assist, just to name a few. Production of the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon begins later this year at the Brampton Assembly plant.
