Hyundai Expanding Compatibility of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to 2015 and 2016 Vehicles

Hyundai have recently announced that they will be offering Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capabilities for eleven additional vehicles from model years 2015 and 2016. Owners of these select vehicles can access both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay by performing an update of their vehicle’s software at home. Hyundai offers a website for owners to check the eligibility of their specific model and trim by simply entering their VIN number at https://hyundaisoftwareupgrade.ca. Hyundai dealers are also able to perform the software upgrade on eligible vehicles for a fee. Models eligible for this upgrade include the Elantra, Elantra GT, Sonata, Sonata Hybrid, Sonata PHEV, Tucson, and the Genesis Sedan. Check below for a chart representing exact models and trims.
