Readers Rides: 1960 Chevrolet Impala Coupe

Grant Vessey of Calgary, Alberta has owned his 1960 Chevrolet Impala Coupe for the last 22 years, and it underwent a full restoration back in 2013. Grant took the Impala to a friend’s shop where they spent 1,100 hours upgrading and repairing the car that now features a FAST fuel-injected, 450-horsepower, beautifully detailed 383 Stroker engine paired to a 700R4 transmission with a 9-in. Ford rear end with 375:1 gears. During the restoration, Grant also put in power windows and door locks, an Ididit steering column with cruise control, RideTech coilover suspension, and Wilwood disc brakes. The exterior features House of Kolor Seabreeze Green with the roof and insert done in Grecian Green. Grant regularly drives to and attends shows in the Impala and even won 1st place in its class at the 2015 Calgary World of Wheels show.
