Muscle Cars have been a passion for Bowtie Auto Parts owner Paul Holmes since he was a teenager. Paul would restore cars in his spare time while working as a Commercial Fisherman. When it was time to move on from fishing, Paul recognized the need for a combined Muscle Car Auto Parts store and Restorations shop. Taking the leap, Paul turned his hobby and passion for Muscle Cars into the successful and thriving business it is today. Growing from a two-person shop to a team of eight, Bowtie is proud of the team’s knowledge and their commitment to providing their customers the highest level of service. The Bowtie Restorations team strives to provide quality restorations, and as a result, they have had three automobiles run through the Barrett-Jackson Auction with one breaking records. The ’66 Chevelle Malibu SS 396 broke the record for the highest price on a concours restoration in 2005. In addition to this record-breaking car, Bowtie is proud to have had their 1969 COPO 427 Chevelle, and a 1967 Chevelle L78, which are both extremely rare, sold at the auction with record-breaking attention. The ’66 Malibu SS 396 in Regal Red, was sold new at Mander Chev Olds in North Vancouver. The ’69 COPO Chevelle was one of three sold in B.C. out of just 22 in all of Canada, originally bought new at Dick Irwin Chev Olds Ltd. in Vancouver. The ’67 Chevelle L78 was one of 612 built, making it an extremely rare muscle car.
