Chevrolet Introduces Updated 2019 Camaro

Chevrolet recently introduced a facelifted 2019 Camaro, less than three years since the current sixth-generation model was introduced. The updated muscle car features some design improvements, new available technologies and the first-ever Turbo 1LE model. The updated design of the car was not only to improve its appearance, but also to improve performance. The grille details and hood and fascia vents were altered to optimize airflow to either cool components or help minimize drag or lift. The new front end styling features distinct differences between LS/LT, RS and SS models with the ZL1 retaining its airflow-optimized front end. Near rear fascias will also be featured on all models with specific diffusers on the RS and SS when equipped with the Dual Mode Exhaust. New LED taillamps offer a more sculptured evolution of Chevrolet’s signature dual-element design with red lenses being used on LS and LT while the RS, SS and Zl1 features dark-tinted neutral-density lenses. As mentioned, the Camaro will be offering a Turbo 1LE package which rounds out Camaro’s lineup of 1LE track-oriented cars. It comes with the 2.0L turbocharged engine and exclusively with a six-speed manual and a tailored chassis package derived from the V6 1LE model. Highlights for the new model include; FE3 suspension with large diameter front and rear stabilizer bars, Brembo brake package, nearly perfect 50/50 weight balance, drive mode selector, and interior upgrades. In terms of new tech, the Camaro will offer Chevrolet’s next-gen Infotainment 3 with all-new systems that provide a more personalized experience and more intuitive interface. The standard system features a 7-in. colour touchscreen with an 8-in. offering available as well. Other new technology features include standard rear camera on select models, Forward Collision Alert and Enhanced Performance Data Recorder system. Finally, for the first time, the Camaro SS will be offered with the 10L80 10-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission featuring custom launch control and line lock.
