DEI Introduces ONYX Series Starter Shield

Design Engineering Inc. (DEI) has recently announced its new ONYX Series Starter Shield that provides reliable heat protection for starters under severe duty or extreme heat. Starters that are exposed to heat soak often malfunction or have problems starting reliably, but the new Starter Shield is able to provide the highest level of thermal protection to prevent this from happening. The shield combines a heat-treated glass fibre bonded with molten aluminum on its outer layer, while the inner layer is made of specially-treated high temperature-resistant fabric. These materials will protect the starter up to 1,350 degrees-Fahrenheit.
