Nissan Launches the Intelligent Rear View Mirror (I-RVM)

Nissan has launched yet another innovative technology that will be featured in the 2018 Nissan Armada called the Intelligent Rear View Mirror (I-RVM) which adds a built-in LCD monitor within the regular rearview mirror to help provide clear rear visibility that will not be blocked by cargo or tall passengers. The technology will be standard on the Armada Platinum grade and improves visibility in low-light conditions, eliminating glare and providing an expanded field of view. The mirror looks like a traditional rearview mirror but with the aforementioned built-in LCD monitor that can be activated with the flip of a switch located at the bottom of the mirror. A narrow-angle camera was developed for the mirror as the specially shaped mirror uses a unique aspect ratio and isn’t as compatible with normal camera options.
