Report Suggests Hyundai May Be Launching Pickup Truck in North America

A recent Autoblog report suggests that Hyundai is planning on launching a pickup truck in the United States as part of a plan to shift away from sedans. Michael J. O’Brien, who is the vice president of corporate and product planning Hyundai USA, reportedly told Reuters that the Korean automaker has given the green light for the development of a pickup, which will be somewhat similar in design to the Santa Cruz show vehicle that debuted in 2015. Nothing was mentioned about the truck possibly making its way to us north of the border, but we expect there’s a pretty good chance that if the truck is made for the U.S., it will make its way into Canada as well.
