Second Generation, All-New 2019 BMW X4 Unveiled

BMW have introduced the all-new, second generation 2019 BMW X4 that will debut in two variants; the M40i M Performance and the X4 xDrive30i. The X4, which BMW calls a Sports Activity Coupe, has been redesigned with sportier proportions created by a wider track, lower center of gravity and improved aerodynamics. In addition to the sporty looks, the new X4 also carries a high-class appearance that is as luxurious as it is athletic. LED lighting technology is featured throughout the exterior while the large BMW kidney grille provides that classic BMW look. Inside of the new crossover is a roomier felling interior with a premium feel you’ve come to expect from BMW. A driver-focused layout is featured that helps provide a sporty driving experience while the redesigned sport seats offer boldly contoured side bolsters that provide outstanding support. A new 12-in. digital instrument cluster is featured as is a full-colour heads-up display that will keep your eyes focused forward and on the road. Powering the new X4 is a choice of two engine options. First is the 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder found in the xDrive30i that produces 248 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. Second is the 3.0L twin-turbo inline six-cylinder featured in the M40i M Performance model that yields a very impressive 355 horsepower and 365 lb.-ft. of torque. Both engines are paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission and come standard with XDrive all-wheel drive. In addition to more power, the M40i adds sporty brakes, lighter wheels, M Sport suspension and launch control to name a few. Pricing information has not yet been released but details will emerge as we get closer July when the 2019 X4 will be available at BMW dealerships across the country.
