2018 Ford Super Duty is Canada’s Most Powerful Pickup Truck Ever

Ford have announced they have created the most powerful and capable heavy-duty truck ever with the 2018 Super Duty. Thanks to a newly upgraded 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engine, the 2018 Super Duty will offer best-in-class horsepower and torque with rating of 450 horsepower and 935 lb-ft. respectively. These are both improvements of 10 over the 2017 model, while the truck also provides a best-in-class of 34,000 lbs. of gooseneck towing, a best-in-class of 21,000 lbs. of conventional hitch towing, and finally a best-in-class of 7,360 lbs. payload capacity. The upgrades to the 6.7L Power Storke engine include redesigned cylinder heads, and optimized fuel and turbo calibrations to take advantage of the increased cylinder head capacity for increased power. Currently, Ford are the only heavy-duty truck manufacturer that designs and builds its own diesel engine and transmission combination which ensures the powertrain works seamlessly with all chassis components and vehicle calibrations.
