2018 Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid Arrives at Canadian Dealerships
The newest member of Honda’s growing lineup arrived at Canadian dealerships earlier this week. The Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid is a seen as a big step forward for the company’s electrified fleet and enters the Canadian market with best overall combined range and interior volume in its class. With a combined fuel economy of 2.1Le/100km and an all-electric range of up to 76km, the Clarity gives drivers the comfort of knowing that they can drive on fully electric power but also can use the combustion engine should that range run out. The electromotive power comes from an electric motor producing 181 horsepower and 232 lb.-ft. of torque and draws power from both the gasoline engine and a 17 kilowatt hour battery pack that has a recharge time of just 2.5 hours at 240 volts. Inside of the Clarity features soft touch materials, leather seats and an overall futuristic look. Standard features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, an 8-in. audio display and Honda Sensing’s full suite of safety technology. On the exterior side of things, the Clarity Plug-In features an aerodynamic body that not only increases its overall style, but also helps maximize fuel efficiency. The Clarity Plug-In Hybrid is on sale at Honda dealerships across the country at an MSRP of $39,900 and $43,900 for the top of the line Touring trim.
