GMC Sierra CarbonPro Editions Beginning Production

GMC has announced that the Sierra CarbonPro Editions will begin production in early June and will arrive at dealerships this summer. Available on the Sierra Denali 1500 and the Sierra AT4 1500, the CarbonPro bed is the first application of its kind for carbon fibre composite, delivering dent, scratch and corrosion resistance. In addition to the added durability, the carbon fibre bed also weighs 25 percent less than a traditional steel bed, while its grained surface eliminates the need for bed liners. The CarbonPro bed design also enables best-in-class cargo volume, and features indentations specifically designed for tires of dirt and street bikes, while two tie-down locations are installed at the front of the bed. The CarbonPro bed was rigorously tested to ensure durability and functionality with a number of tests including drop tests, corrosion test, extreme temperature testing and a generator test. The bed won’t be the only new feature available on the all-new 2020 GMC Sierra, with the additions of the available ProGrade Trailering System, Rear Camera Mirror and a Multicolour 15-in. Diagonal Head-Up display.
