Jeep Releases Images of 2019 Jeep Cherokee Ahead of Detroit Show

The Jeep Cherokee has certainly been a success ever since it was re-introduced to us here in North America for the 2014 model year, as it is one of the most capable mid-size sport-utility vehicles available today. It combines the off-road prowess that is always associated with the Jeep nameplate, but is also incredibly practical and efficient when it comes to everyday driving situations. Although it didn’t appear to hurt the sales numbers, the one issue that can often be brought up would be the overall quirky exterior look, especially on the front end where split front lights were featured. This is one of the many changes that have been teased by Jeep in the recent release of a few images of the upcoming 2019 Cherokee along with some very vague information. The front end now features a more traditional look with some similarities to the Jeep Compass and Grand Cherokee but still remains very reminiscent of the previous version. The rear design has been updated as well and also goes more towards the Compass and Grand Cherokee and away from the somewhat stubby taillight design previously featured. Inside looks to be relatively unchanged based on the photos, which are a good thing as it features a simple, well laid out design with FCA’s latest Uconnect infotainment system and a drive terrain select dial. As mentioned, not much else is yet known about the 2019 Cherokee other than it will be available with more fuel-efficient powertrain options. All details will be released when the vehicle makes its official debut at the upcoming North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
