Subaru have recently announced pricing on the award-winning 2019 Crosstrek which is set to go on sale across Canada this month. The 2nd generation Crosstrek is a key driver in the brand’s current record-setting sales pace and features many safety features that have enabled it to receive the Top Safety Pick+ designation from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) which is the highest safety rating possible. The Crosstrek is built on the Subaru Global Platform (SGP) and Subaru says it perfectly embodies the performance, dependability and safety that the brand is known for. Under the hood features a 2.0L 4-cylinder BOXER engine paired to a choice of a six-speed manual transmission or a Lineatronic CVT transmission backed by the legendary symmetrical full-time all-wheel drive system. Standard on all Crosstrek models is a 6.5-in. touchscreen infotainment system with updated software for this year, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, cruise control, power windows, door locks and side mirrors. Also new for 2019 is the addition of the Dark Blue Pearl exterior colour which is available on the Touring, Sport and Limited trims. In terms of pricing, the starting price of $23,695 is unchanged from last year and gets you a Convenience model with the manual transmission. At the top-of- the- line for the Crosstrek is the Limited model with Subaru’s EyeSight driver assist technology and the CVT transmission which comes in at a very respectable $33,295. In addition to EyeSight, the Limited model comes fully equipped with 18-in. alloy wheels, leather seating, dual-zone climate control, a Harmon Kardon eight speaker audio system and an 8-in. infotainment system with GPS.
